One thing i love about reading manga is because the authors or translators will in some way slip a little history of Japan or any other true stories. and that in some cases, those history may end up in movies.
and when i watch those movies, I feel proud of myself for knowing something that others might not know.. huhu.
something like the coming movie, 47 Ronin (click to watch trailer) scheduled to be in the cinema on the 24th December. There’s a reason why the movie were scheduled to come out at the end of the year. Because in TV Japan, they will air the movie about “Chushingura” at the end of every year. Chushingura is about 47 samurai warriors led by Ooishi Kuranosuke to avenge their disgraced lord during the Edo period.
this is an info of 47 Ronin in IMDB.. gues, what character will be played by Hiroyuki Sanada?
and its all because i read the manga “WAGATSUMA-SAN WA ORE NO YOME”.. lol. its a useless manga about a boy occasionally time traveled to his own future. lol. how can it be informative right?
when you watched Pirates of the Caribbean.. have you ever heard of the name BlackBeard before? well.. if u read the manga One Piece by Eichiro Oda, you’d knew that Edward D. Teach was BlackBeard. and that he is part of the Famous Pirates history.
I never knew that Chad is a name of a country.. until i read Bleach..
I read History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi.. and it mentioned a theory that the ancient martial art Kalari Payat may have been the true origin of Asian martial arts such as Kung Fu, Muay Thai and Silat.
kesimpulannye. aku bace manga. hahaa
